This is Casey's dog, Kodi... Basically, I'm drawing domestic pets before I move on to fantasy style wolves...

This was not intended to be realism at all, so don't cuss out my bad inking... Help with is is appreciated, but "it sucks" is not.

I was up till 2am Tuesday drawing this. I was pretty upset over something the whole time, and got too dark on the ink. Whoops.

So yeah... It is my first ever real attempt at using colour. I only have 12 colours, 9 of which I used. I don't have prisma colours, and I probably wont until next year.

No, I just tend to make fur look feathery, I guess. Might be the reference I used, he still had a softer puppy coat then.

I did want to give him feathered wings though, but no room.

amazing! :D I love the fur texture and detail. everything about it is stunning! ;3 the only thing I can find to critique is the ears, they look a bit like a rabbit's. The inner ear shading is a bit off too, try looking at a refrence picture on google or flickr.com

Thanks for the comment and fav, it was pretty hard to draw the floppy, not-yet-self-supported ear, then I skimmed the insides because the thought of trying scared me T_T

Thanks, I'm proud of this one. The technique really only works for black fur though, I found that out the hard way. :p

I use to have a German Shepard their really good companions :)
